This a great way to incorporate vintage heirloom jewelry into a very modern, clean lined and simple wedding....especially with a piece that belonged to a loved one who has passed on, receives a special place and purpose on your special day.
Two great ways to to bring in your something old, something borrowed. Repurpose vintage jewelry by using them as decoration on your wedding cake, embellishment on your dress or in your bouquet....so lovely!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
It’s all in the details! - Local wedding consulting & event planning company is approved as a Green Bride Guide preferred green wedding vendor!
Newport, Rhode Island, Tuesday July 20th, 2010 – Details with Love, LLC wedding consulting & event planning, (www.detailswithlove.com) has been selected as a preferred vendor by the Green Bride Guide, the #1 green wedding website, for inclusion in their Green Wedding Directory (www.greenbrideguide.com/directory).
Green Bride Guide is the most comprehensive and credible green wedding resource online. The Directory is a “Yellow Pages” for green weddings that provides a centralized resource of green wedding vendors, searchable by geographic area.
This year, almost 50% of couples are looking to include green elements in their events, and 85% are concerned about green washing, the passing off of non-green companies as eco-friendly. To address these concerns, the Green Bride Guides screens all vendors in the directory and displays their green practices in their profiles.
Kristin Love, owner of Details with Love, said “with more and more couple’s looking to include green elements in their events we are thrilled to be a resource for creative options and vendors for their eco-chic wedding day.”
“When my husband Barry and I were planning our wedding in 2006-07, we were surprised by how little information was available to help us make eco-friendly choices. That’s why I’m excited to be able to offer couples the Green Bride Guide Directory,” said Kate Harrison. “By including vendors like Details with Love, couples will know that they are working with vetted green vendors who truly value the environment. Since more than 50% of the wedding budget is spent at the local level, the Directory is an essential tool for couples looking to support the local green economy.”

It was a beautiful evening at The Chanler at Cliff Walk for the Grace Ormonde Wedding Style book launch party. The book is simply inspiring, the setting overlooking the cliff walk is absolutely breathtaking....and it's always a treat to get dressed up and mingle with my wedding industry friends.

Detail of the week - the guest book
There's nothing wrong with setting out a traditional guest book at the
reception for friends and family to sign, but the truth is, you'll
probably slide it onto a bookshelf and never look at it again.
Here are some additional creative ideas for you to think about we hope will inspire.
Place a variety of note cards and paper on a table along side a
keepsake box so guests can write you short letters of congrats, advice
and well wishes. And the two of you can open them on your first
anniversary.
Purchase a bisque platter or vase from a local pottery shop and ask
guests to sign it with a special pencil or marker (ask the pottery
expert for advice), then return it to the shop to have it glazed and
re-fired. Hang it on a wall, or rest it on a key piece of furniture.
Silver trays are a variation on the theme of the ceramic tray as an
heirloom, but with the added bonus that they are harder to break! You
can buy an engraving pen from your local jeweler
Have your favorite photo of the two of you framed with a wide white
mat, and have your guests sign the mat board. You can also
pre-purchase a mat in a standard size, and frame your vows, favorite
wedding reading or piece of artwork, and have guests sign the mat.
