{a unique rose ceremony}

Every bride is looking for unique ideas and special ways to make her wedding more meaningful. Here is a wonderful and very touching idea to honor your mother and future mother in law at the wedding ceremony and is guaranteed to tear up the eyes of everyone present.

Ask your floral designer to include two single roses to complement your bouquet. After your father walks you down the aisle to meet your future hubby, just before he turns to leave you and take his seat, remove one of the special flowers from your bouquet. Hand it to him and give him a kiss. Let him know in advance that this will take place and ask him to take the rose to present to your mother, with a kiss, on your behalf.

Then at the conclusion of the ceremony, as you begin to make your way back up the aisle as husband and wife, stop at the pew where your mother-in-law is seated. Remove the second rose from your bouquet and present it to her, along with a kiss, before continuing up the aisle.

Try and keep this a secret as it is the element of surprise which helps to make this so very sweet and special.

Detail of the week: Monogrammed handkerchiefs

The handkerchief keepsake has been a longtime personal favorite expression of love and appreciation for that special occasion, whether on your wedding day, your parents' anniversary or to celebrate a new baby.  Delicate lace monogrammed handkerchiefs for women and mens natural linen monogrammed handkerchiefs are a beautiful personalized keepsake gift for the bride or groom to give each other, bridesmaids and sentimental mothers of the bride and groom.

And grooms be prepared and have the hankie ready to catch her tears during the emotional exchange of the vows.
